Night out
In a continuous endeavor to bring about a holistic development of the
child, RPS International School, Sec 50 Gurugram organized a night
camp on 22nd November, 2019 for the Middle School students.
The intention was to make the children explore the feeling of warmth
of a family at school and to develop the emotional, social skills besides
enhancing their life skills.
There were series of planned fun-filled activities. The campers were
welcomed to their first night camp ever with a balloon race, bucket
and mug race, followed by a parachute game. Seeing the children
looking for their clues during the treasure hunt was a delight to watch. The physical and mental challenges were offered to Children who displayed to their potential.. A delightful
dinner followed by a 'bon-fire' with pop corns made their evening most
special.
A huge surprise was given by CEO of RPSGOS, Mr Manish Rao who joined students in the cake cutting ceremony during bonfire. It was a cherry on the cake.
The evening was a beautiful mix of celebration and laughter.
They then retired to bed in dreamland with their friends and teachers.
The next morning saw a refreshing start with a wake up call and the
children approached the field with renewed energy for
warm up session followed by yoga exercises. They had a sumptuous
breakfast along with their parents and with a reluctant heart bid
goodbye to their teachers and friends.
The day two of the night camp came to a successful culmination.
The students were upbeat about experience of their first night
camp. The aim was to make the children independent, bond well with
their peers and teachers and also enjoy various activities.
Some students quoted, " After joining the night camp, I have gained a
lot of self- confidence. My teachers encouraged me and motivated me to
participate in the night out."
Another student appreciated his experience and said," We saw smile on
everyone’s face. The teachers were friendly & were ready to help us."The Principal of the school ,Ms Bindu Gupta along with the middle school coordinator,Ms Mayuri Abrol,Class teacher Ms Savita ,Music and dance deptt,PTIs bid good bye and thanked all students for their wholehearted participation in the camp.
The parents of the campers appreciated the efforts and overall arrangement made by the School Management . They also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Chairperson,Ms Pavitra Rao for providing such an opportunity to children to learn life skills for enhancing personality development.
