Visit to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary

Nature walks are a fun and easy way to bring your students outdoors, whether it’s on the school grounds or at a park or another local place of interest.  One of the best things to do on a nature walk is to simply observe what nature has to offer.   On Feb 20th, 2020,  as part of the ISA project ' Migratory and endangering birds of India and China', the Middle School students of RPS International School Sec 50, Gurugram visited Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary, Haryana,  where numerous birds migrate every year .  It was a beautiful day, sunny and pleasant. This trip was an endeavor to appreciate the creativity and thoughtful process of the students, motivating them to take the project forward to protect and safeguard the natural habitat of these creatures so that the beauty of the nature can be sustained forever. Live streaming of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020' by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi

The students, teachers and parents of RPS International School Sec 50, Gurugram assembler to watch the live streaming of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020' by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi in the school campus itself. This session was held ahead of Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams to request the parents not to pressurize their children.
The students listened to P.M. interacting with the students, teachers, and parents from the Talkatora Indoor Stadium in Delhi. He spoke about numerous subjects relating to exams and even life beyond exams. Mr. Narendra Modi urged students to be confident about their own preparation and not enter the exam hall with any sort of pressure.He appreciated the parents who allowed their children tovpursue things (if they are on the right track).
The audience applauded P.M. Mr. Modi's  suggestion to have a technology-free hour everyday. They promised  to keep themselves away from technology for a day and spend time with their friends, family, books or pet…

Workshop of teachers on 'Class Interaction'

- Beth Morrow Keeping this thought in mind and to ensure the progress of the school, it is imperative to keep the teachers well-informed with the changing trends in education and various creative teaching techniques.  As part of this enterprise, RPS International School Sec 50 Gurugram organized a workshop for the teachers on Wednesday, 21th January 2020 on the topic ‘Class interaction’.  The highly knowledgeable resource person
and the Founder director of Excellence Educo Mr. Bhaavesh Suryakant conducted the workshop.

Lohri Celebrations

Lohri, a harvest festival  was celebrated at RPS International School Sec 50 Gurugram with a lot of enthusiasm and fervor.  Lohri marks the end of the winter season .Therefore, it is a seasonal festival. It is also considered a harvest festival and it is an important day for the farmers. Amidst the cold weather of new year 2020, the school staff experienced some respite as they were involved in a spirit of celebrating Lohri, the festival of holy bonfire. The School Principal Mrs. Bindu Gupta lit the fire. Everyone worshipped the holy fire and groundnuts and sweets were also distributed to all. After Poojan, everyone danced and sang around the bonfire. Giddha and Bhangra Dance was performed by the teachers. They sang the traditional song ”Dulla Bhatti Wala”.Entire campus boomed with ecstasy as the teachers celebrated Lohri and welcomed new year with a lot of exuberance and fanfare. A beautiful initiative has been taken by RPS International School by turning the school into Zero-tolerance zone to bully and making a better place for students to grow mentally, emotionally and socially in a much more stable manner. So, for that, the school is associated with Fortis National Mental Health Program for 100- day "Bully to Buddy Campaign" and the workshop training session on "Anti Bullying Squad" was taken by one of the expertise from Fortis National Mental Health to train students. Further, from each class, a student representative has been chosen to lead the class by bringing awareness of bullying. Also, its ill effects and the damages it makes on one's mental health were shared with varied helpful techniques and ways to take a stand for their classmates and buddies in class, school and around them from getting bullied.

RPS sector 50 Gurugram strongly believes in the parent-school partnership!!
For the same, the morning of Saturday, 07-12-19 started with a positive hustle of parents coming to school for the PTM.
The day was extremely fruitful as constructive feedback was shared by the teachers to the parents w.r.t their academic and extra curricular performance. Steps and measures for improvement were also discussed for the holistic development of each child!!

Coffee Morning

Middle School organised Coffee Morning, a Parent Meet with whole team on one platform. It was highly appreciated by the parents and their enthusiastic and whole hearted  participation was worth seeing ,School team and parents shared challenges in holistic development of a child.I express gratitude to Pavitra Mam whose words ,"Go Ahead" and unflinching support of Bindu Mam which  instilled fresh energy to experiment this idea .Last but not the least thanks to Whole RPS team .Sharing some moments with all of you
